Why USF?...
I attended USF because I wanted to be apart of something that was new
and was on the rise. |
 |
First Day...
I was very excited to finally be on a college campus but nervous
because I found myself getting lost on this huge campus. |
 |
Living the campus life ...
I lived on campus for the summer and fall of 2005, and spring of 2006.
This was a learning experience for me and a very useful tool that helped
me adapt to the campus and meet new people. |
 |
Student activities ...
I am involved in Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., National
Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc., Student Government, Marshall Student Center
Board, Miss/Mr. USF committee, and the Student Organization Advisory
Board. I feel that if I were not a member of these different
organizations on campus, my college experience wouldn’t be what it is
today. By being in these organizations, I am able to learn more about
the university and be involved which helps enhance my experience while
I’m here.

 |
Activities ...
My favorite thing to do on campus is attend Patio Tuesday. I have met
so may new people and had loads of fun at the same time. |
 |
Professors ...
The majority of my professors are very knowledgeable in their fields
and are truly professionals. My favorite professor is Dr. Susan MacManus.
She is my favorite because I have probably learned most of what I know
about Political Science from her classes and she treats every student
like we all are her children. |
 |
Transition ...
By being apart of the Student Support Services program, which the
university offers, I was able to have a smooth transition into this
university. The counselors and advisors showed us the basics of the
university and what it would take to make it at an institution of this
magnitude. |
 |
Multiculturalism ...
I have been able to learn from others about the culture in which they
grew up in. I know a lot more today about many different cultures
because of the diversity our university has. This helps me to be open
minded and to appreciate other cultures. |
 |
Metropolitan area ...
USF is the heart of the city. There are so many opportunities that I
have because I am a student here. I have been able to meet lawyers,
legislators, and state cabinet members, which will all help me after
graduating. |
 |
Global ...
I am able to think globally mainly because of the diversity that is on
our campus and the different educational opportunities that exist. I have
realized that USF supports the International community and the university
encourages us to support it as well. |
