Degrees & Majors As one of America's top 60 Research I universities, USF offers world-class academic programs. USF has more than 200 majors and programs in its 10 colleges, ranging from engineering to education, criminal justice, anthropology, biochemistry and geology, to name but a few. Our broad-based undergraduate liberal arts curriculum--enhanced by our highly regarded program of 50-student cohort Learning Communities--solidifies our reputation for academic excellence. Furthermore, we have a strong Honors College, an extensive study abroad and internship program and even an Undecided program for the 25% of freshmen who aren't ready to select a major. An initiative titled "Tracking the Academic Progress of Students" (TAPS) is being implemented at USF beginning AY 2005-06. Upon admission to the University, this system will ensure that all students are presented with a complete degree plan along with guaranteed availability of course selections when they declare their major. This system is exceptionally proactive and academic advising will play a pivotal role. For more information, visit the TAPS website.
