The Treasurer has primary responsibility for managing the University’s working capital and borrowed funds.
The Treasurer also has responsibility for the following:
Organizational
- Chair the Finance Council
- Coordinate treasury functions within the University and between the University and its Direct Support Organizations and Component Units
Functional
- Establish and maintain financial policies
- Manage cash and banking relationships
- Investment management and loans
- Manage debt, derivatives and capital market relationships
- Capital budgeting
- Risk management
- Coordinate tax policy
- Performance measurement and financial planning
- Transfer pricing/costing
- Interpret state and federal rules, regulations and laws related to the treasury function
