Transfer Student Resources

USF admits both lower-level (36 to 59 transferable credits) and upper-level transfer applicants (60+ transferable credits). We encourage transfer students to apply early and to follow the application deadlines and checklist information.

Students who earn an Associate in Arts degree from a Florida community college receive priority consideration for admission. Students who expect to earn an A.A. degree should apply at least one semester prior to completing the degree.

Admission to USF with an A.A. degree does not guarantee admission to a selective admissions program of study. Please refer to the GPA requirements for the selective admissions programs of study.

USF offer's a bachelor's degree program (BSAS) designed especially for Associate in Science degree graduates from Florida community colleges.

FACTS.org helps transfer students plan and track their program of study from the AA degree to the Bachelor's degree. Click on College Students, then click on About Transferring to navigate through the links on transferring.

CLEP tests are designed to test students' knowledge on a variety of college-level subjects. USF gives credit for 37 different courses with a passing score of 50 or higher.
