Professional Resources
In almost every office, advances in technology and decreases in budgets have created an expectation to do more with less. To accomplish what sometimes seems the impossible, we all can use a hand and fortunately there are several professional organizations here to help! They include:
- ACT Organization - More than just the test, ACT provides resources to assist educators, students, and families during the transition from high school student to adulthood.
- College Board - Besides overseeing the SAT and Advanced Placement programs, College Board conducts research on various topics affecting college admission.
- Florida Department of Education - Provides information for high school students regarding the college admissions process for Florida’s public colleges.
- National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) - National organization that helps bridge the gap between high school guidance and college admissions professionals.
- Southern Association for College Admissions Counseling (SACAC) - Regional organization of NACAC. Comprised of professionals from nine southeastern states and the Caribbean.
